We are asking parents for just a few minutes of their time to complete our annual Family Survey. The input collected by this survey will help us find ways to work together to continue to improve the Highland Central School District. 

Kindergarten registration for the 2025-2026 school year is open as of January 3. Parents and guardians of incoming Kindergarten students can stop by Highland High School (which is located at 320 Pancake Hollow Road) weekdays between 8 AM and 3 PM, through May 1, 2025, to pick up a registration packet

Nine talented High School students were selected to participate in this year’s New York State School Music Association (NYSSMA) Area All-State ensembles. They performed in two concerts on November 23.

Ulster County Legislator Gina Hansut, a steadfast supporter of the Highland Central School District , has received the Ulster County School Boards Association Distinguished Friend of Education Award. The annual award recognizes residents from the county’s school districts and Ulster BOCES for their dedication and commitment to students and schools.

Former professional football player turned inspirational speaker, Shamiel Gary, returned to Highland High School on November 8 to remind students to live their lives with purpose and passion. Gary, who first visited Highland back in 2023, spoke at two grade-level assemblies that were sponsored by the PTSA.
